Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial important honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
